Description
Takis became captain of the Dinosaur King's royal guard because the king had earned his respect—a ruler who valued peace above all else. The king was even able to resist the corrupting influence of the Peperetua Crystal longer than most. After the king fell at the hands of Maximus, Takis fought his way out, stole a shard of the crystal along with an empty colony ship, and escaped through an interdimensional rift in space, eventually crash-landing on Earth. He roamed the planet for centuries in the shadows of ancient Greek history, forging friendships and alliances in search of wisdom and technology. While he found plenty of the former and little of the latter, his presence left quiet ripples in history—whispered contributions to breakthroughs in philosophy, warfare, and science. The names of his children hint at the trajectory of his journey through Greece and the remarkable individuals he crossed paths with along the way. When Maximus finally discovered his location, Takis returned to his ship and placed himself in stasis, waiting for the world to catch up to his technological needs. Millennia later, modern human activity reactivated the ship's systems and interrupted his sleep—and that's when he discovered the vessel he'd stolen wasn't as empty as he'd thought. A few dinosaur eggs had survived, and they were hatching. Unable to return infants to stasis, he made a decision: he would raise them as his own. As the hatchlings grew, Takis grew into the role of father as well as teacher, instilling in them the morality and skill to become a force for good. Tolerant of everything except evil intent and laziness (though he's not exactly a fan of his adopted children's taste in entertainment), he remains fascinated by the cultural and scientific parallels between the world he came from... and the one he now calls home.
